William Berliant
Piano and Oboe

William Berliant began playing the piano at age 3 and studied piano in Jr. and Sr. high school with Myron Myers at Southwestern University. William also began playing in band in the fifth grade, and plays all the woodwind instruments with his major instruments being the oboe.

Mr. Berliant has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, and a Masters Degree in Musical Performance from Southern Illinois University. He was a member of several U.S. Army bands and served as a performer, arranger, and conductor and bands in Virginia, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Berlin, Germany, and Seoul, Korea. After his military service of 14 years, he taught public school band, chorus, marching band, jazz band, and small instrumental and vocal ensembles for 23 years.

Mr. Berliant's love of all genres of music gives him the knowledge and background that supports his instruction on woodwind instruments and the piano and classical, pop, jazz, and walk styles as well as music theory, harmony, arranging, and conducting.

"Music is the universal language of mankind." -- Henry Wadsorth Longfellow.

I would love to teach you or your child this amazing language.

Mr. Berliant is presently studying piano with Michael Kaykov, a faculty member of the Julliard School of Music in New York.
